The Caveman's Crib

While watching LA Ink last night I thought I saw a commercial for the new caveman series... or so I thought, the commercial was like a bad high school home movie of drunk cavemen at a party pointing you to cavemanscrib.com.

All I can say is I hate that effect where you grab the corner of a page and they want you to pretend like you're reading a magazine. Stop it... even if you know how it works it doesn't.

I'd never seen this commercial before, but it appears the sites been around a long time. Which makes me wonder why the hell I saw it.

I saw it flash last night too really quick. Maybe they're trying to promo the site?

True, but wouldn't they want to add stuff that wasn't from like late 2006?

The original site came out in January of this year, but there is a whole new element that was just added a week or so ago.

The site is completely independent from the upcoming TV show. These are the original cavemen from the TV ads, but all of this was producer by the internal GEICO media department.

I think the reason we're seeing ads for it, is that they're trying to make sure that people know there is a difference between the "original" guys and whatever the TV show does.

Ohhh... well now that makes sense. Especially since the TV show looks horrible.

    What's the new part?

The original site let you look around the crib before the party started. The caveman was still getting ready for the bash.

The update is the "Snooze and Rejuve" section. Here you can see the aftermathe of the party, and you can see video clips of what happened on some of the cell phones that were left behind.

What is really cool is that each phone tells a different story of what went on during the party. It just shows how much thought and effort went in to all of this.

I can't imagine that the show can top the crib.

    Okay, that's pretty cool.

After seeing the clip of the show, I'd have to agree with you on that one.
