I guess it'll save us time in the mulched beds.
Boil y'er weeds. Instead of using a commercial weed killer, douse weeds with a mixture of vinegar and boiling water. Cackle maniacally while doing so.

I am also agree with you that home made weed killers are better than the chemical products. Even these are also more safe...
