Last night I saw the one of the new Hummer Helps commercials. I hadn't read anything on the campaign and I didn't get that it was supposed to be rescue workers - I just thought it had fake newspaper clippings.
Course, when I was looking for the commercial on YouTube, this was the first result - which I thought was hilarious.

THis just makes me think of the ending of the movie Cars and how the Hummers are all afraid of the tough terrain :D
Just another example on how Hummers are, and always will be good for crapsolutely nothing.
Thanks a lot GM, fucking thanks a lot.
Firetrucks help...Guess I should go out and buy one...
I am a HUMMER owner and to be honest at least here in the midwest where we actually get feet of snow and have a long long 4 month winter.... It is well worth having one. I have rescued people stranded on the side of the highway, towed people out of ditches and even got a pickup out of being high centered on a snow bank. Yes, the media gives us a bad wrap, but the fact is, every Hummer owner I know is the first to HELP anyone and the first to go out of their way to assist people in need. I have even been in a funeral procession for a 9 year old boy that I did not know at all, and that died of cancer and wanted a BIG send off with BIG trucks. We get the same mpg as any other truck. Just b/c we look bigger doesn't mean we use more fuel than any other large suv or truck. Here in the midwest, MPG doesn't help much when you are stuck in a snow bank. Also, anyone notice that a Prius' battery is about $5000? Who's really riding the media train and raking in the dough? Toyota!!! that sells Pathfinders that get the same mpg as my truck. They just have a sudo-echo friendly Prius to hide behind. So enjoy your $5000 batteries and I will enjoy my truck.
